US producer prices edged higher in November
Factory gate prices Stateside moved higher in November as the prices for services bounced back after having fallen over the previous two months.
Food prices broke a three-month streak of falls, but total goods prices still decreased for a fifth month in a row, slipping by 0.1%.
The producer price index advanced 0.3% month-on-month, the same as food prices, while energy prices slipped 0.6%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
In comparison with a year ago factory gate prices declined 1.1%.
Economists had anticipated a flat reading over the month and a 1.4% fall versus last year.
