IAG joins fray for all or part of Air Berlin

IAG has joined the fray for all or part of bankrupt German peer Air Berlin, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters.

The owner of British Airways was reportedly up against that country's flag carrier Lufthansa and other parties, with the deadline for submitting bids having lapsed on 18 September.

IAG confirmed the veracity of the report to Digital Look.
