Wall Street futures were in the green ahead of the bell on Monday as market participants prepared for the Thanksgiving holiday-shortened week.

As of 1200 GMT, Dow Jones futures were up 0.47%, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 futures had the indices opening 0.40% and 0.36% higher, respectively.

The Dow closed 268.97 points lower on Friday, extending losses recorded in the previous session.

Monday looked set to be a relatively quiet day for major indices, with no major data points or corporate earnings slated for release as besides Thursday's break for Thanksgiving celebrations, the one item drawing an amount of investor attention will likely be President Joe Biden's nomination for the next chief of the Federal Reserve Bank, expected in the coming days.

Current chairman Jerome Powell and Governor Lael Brainard were both said to be the most likely candidates, with many expecting a more dovish central bank if Brainard takes over the top job, meaning it would take longer to tighten policies and raise interest rates.

On the macro front, the Chicago Federal Reserve's October national activity index will be published at 1330 GMT.

In the corporate space, Jack in the Box and Zoom Video will both report their latest quarterly earnings numbers after the close.
