Wall Street looked for set for a higher start at the beginning of a potentially eventful week.

At 1305 BST, Dow Jones mini futures were rising by 25.0 points to 35,423.0, alongside an 8.0 point gain for those linked to the S&P 500 taking them to 4,572.72.

Nasdaq-100 mini futures meanwhile were advancing by 40.5 points to 15,580.5.

Not least, come Wednesday, policymakers at the Federal Reserve were due to announce a further interest rate hike.

More important however would be the post-meeting press conference, which might yield clues as to whether more hikes should be expected or not, with futures markets anticipating the latter.

As if that were not enough, on Wednesday night, technology giants Microsoft, Meta Platforms and Alphabet were all due to publish their latest quarterly results.

The only economic data due out on Monday were S&P Global's factory and services Purchasing Managers Indices, which were scheduled for release at 1445 BST.
