Brexit has a seven point leave over Remain according to the latest TNS online poll on Tuesday, while the UK’s biggest selling newspaper urged its readers to vote to leave.

TNS said 13% were undecided or would not vote, and the market research company’s poll published last week gave the Leave campaign a two point lead at 43%.

Momentum is with the Leave campaign as it has been in the lead in several polls. On Monday, the Guardian/ICM poll said Leave had a six point advantage, 53% to 47% once ‘don’t knows’ were excluded.

The Times/YouGov poll on Tuesday, revealed support for Brexit jumped by three percentage points to 46% over the latest week, while backing for Remain lost three percentage points to 39%. The pound dropped 1.18% to $1.4102 at 1624 BST.

The Independent/ORB poll showed Leave at 55% and Remain at 45%, last Friday. The online poll surveyed 2,000 people.

On Tuesday, to no real surprise, Rupert Murdoch’s the Sun urged voters to Leave. "We must set ourselves free from dictatorial Brussels." The newspaper has a circulation of £1.7m.

IG Market Analyst Joshua Mahony said “Yet another EU referendum poll has hammered home the increasing threat of a Brexit next week, with the TNS poll coming out heavily in favour of the UK leaving the EU today. What initially looked like an anomaly has turned into the norm, with eight of the last 10 polls coming out in favour of a Brexit.

“Typically those putting their money where their mouth is will have a less separatist view, with the IG binary indicating that clients perceive just a 40% chance of the UK leaving the EU. However, the recent swing in sentiment has been reflected in the IG binary which has seen the chance of a Brexit rise from 18% to 40% in the last three weeks alone.”
