Eurozone industrial production rises unexpectedly in September by 0.6% year-on-year

Eurozone industrial production rose unexpectedly in September in a breath of fresh for the bloc amid concerns about the health of the economy.

Production rose by 0.6% year-on-year, compared to a drop of 1.9% in August and analysts forecasts for a 0.2% fall.

The news comes as the European Central Bank faces calls to implement further stimulus measures to lift the euro-area's economy.
