Heathrow passenger numbers jump 18% in October
The number of passengers passing through London Heathrow was up 18% year-on-year in October, the airport announced on Monday.
Heathrow, Britain's busiest airport, said passenger numbers totalled 6.96m last month, up from 5.89m in October 2022.
The airport, which serves 214 destinations across 84 countries, saw total air transport movements of 40,201 in October, up 16% on the year before.
For the first 10 months of the year, passenger numbers rose 32% year-on-year 66.32m, while air transport movements rose 23% to 378,710.
Heathrow's busiest year ever recorded was 2019 when 80.9m passengers travelled through the airport.
