Latest Brexit poll: Leave 45% and Remain 44%

The latest poll for Thursday’s European Union referendum put both sides virtually neck-and-neck with 'Leave' at 45% and 'Remain' at 44%.

The poll was carried out online between 20 and 22 June by Opinium.

The share for Remain was unchanged but Leave gained one percentage point as the number of undecideds shrank.

Having risen to $1.4766, the pound fell to $1.4656, its lowest in the day but by late in the evening was up 0.27% at $1.4692.
