Security alert near London Bridge station over

Police have given the all clear to a building evacuated after a security alert near London Bridge station.

Counting House at Hays Galleria was evacuated on Tuesday afternoon for over two hours after reports of what was believed to be a 'suspicious package'.

The London Evening Standard reported that Scotland Yard said they were called to Tooley Street at 12:26pm.

MPS Southwark tweeted just after 2:40pm that the building was safe to return to.

They sadi earlier that they had "reasons to evacuate building close to Hays Galleria SE1".

TfL and National Rail's websites said the tube and rail stations remained open.

Gary Haines tweeted that police sniffer dogs were in Counting House.

He said he had been evacuated from his building after "a bomb scare at London Bridge" just after 1pm.

Jack Waterman‏ tweeted that Hays Lane near the station was also earlier cordoned off by police.

It was the first of two security scares in central London on Tuesday - shortly after 2:45pm buildings near the BBC on Portland Place were evacuated after reports of a "suspicious vehicle".
