Sunak and Hunt delay Autumn statement until 17 November

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Chancellor Jeremy Hunt will deliver the UK's Autumn Statement on 17 November, along with an Office for Budgetary Responsibility forecast.
Sunak was said to have been mulling over the idea of delaying next week's planned fiscal statement as part of an effort to fill a hole of £40.0bn in Britain's finances, according to the Times.
However, His Majesty's Treasury later confirmed the November data and said the statement will contain the UK's medium-term fiscal plan to put public spending on "a sustainable footing", get debt falling and "restore stability".
The news comes hot on the heels of comments from former Prime Minister Liz Truss' spokeswoman, who said that her successor would have to decide whether or not to proceed with a fiscal plan scheduled for 31 October.
