Anglo American completes sale of Lafarge Tarmac for £992m

Anglo American has completed the sale of its 50% ownership interest in Lafarge Tarmac Holdings to Lafarge for £992m.

Lafarge already owns the other half of the company and Anglo had agreed to sell the stake in 2014 for a minimum consideration of £885m.

The miner also received around £107m of working capital and other adjustments.

Anglo American said the completion of this transaction brings the aggregate proceeds received by the company for the sale of its Tarmac assets to approximately $2.5bn since 2008.
