Augmentum Fintech announced the appointment of William Reeve as chairman of its board on Monday, effective 1 November.

The London-listed firm said Reeve, who would also join the nominations, audit, valuations, and management engagement and remuneration committees, would bring a wealth of experience in the technology sector as both an investor and operator.

It said Reeve had co-founded several technology businesses, including Fletcher Research, Lovefilm.com, and Secret Escapes.

His experience spanned all stages of company growth, from startups to publicly-listed firms.

He had held senior roles, including chairing Nutmeg and Graze.com through their sales to JP Morgan and a Carlyle fund, respectively.

Reeve is currently chief executive officer of proptech company Goodlord, and would retire as a non-executive director of Dunelm Group on 21 November after nine years.

“It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome William to Augmentum - his exceptional track record as a tech entrepreneur and deep expertise in the sector will be instrumental as we accelerate our growth strategy,” said chief executive officer Tim Levene.

“William's proven leadership and innovative vision will bring a fresh perspective and strategic value as we navigate new opportunities and expand our market presence.

“We look forward to leveraging his insights to drive long-term success.”

At 0928 BST, shares in Augmentum Fintech were up 0.52% at 101.53p.
