Housebuilder Barratt Developments has sold a central London residential portfolio of 172 units for £140.5m to Henderson Park and Greystar.

Barrett has let go 29 units in its Aldgate Place joint venture with British Land, 25 units at Fulham Riverside and a forward purchase of its 118-unit tower at the Nine Elms Point joint development with L&Q.

David Thomas, chief executive of Barratt Developments, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for us, selling 172 units to Henderson Park and Greystar for PRS.

"In particular the build and sale contract for an entire tower at our Nine Elms Point development enables us to deliver homes more quickly than we would otherwise.

"We will continue to review such opportunities where there is commercial logic to do so.”
