Technology firm BATM Advanced Communications has received an order from an unnamed Tier 1 communications service provider for its Edgility platform.

BATM said on Monday that the order was part of an existing framework agreement for its Edgility edge virtualisation platform and accompanying hardware, with the orders worth a minimum of $2.4m over a three-year period.

The London-listed group stated the orders follow a comprehensive certification process, during which it met or exceeded all the required performance, security and scalability standards.

Under the current agreement, BATM will deploy licences, along with accompanying uCPE hardware, with a minimum licence term of three years. BATM also highlighted that it believes there was potential for a "significant year-on-year expansion and extension" in the number and duration of Edgility licences it supplies as the customer's business continues to grow.

As of 0955 GMT, BATM shares were up 3.16% at 16.97p.
