Breedon Aggregates appoints Pat Ward as CEO

Breedon Aggregates has appointed Pat Ward as chief executive officer, to succeed Simon Vivian, who will move to a non-executive role in the company.

Ward is currently CEO of Aggregate Industries Europe (AI), which is a subsidiary of LafargeHolcim, and is expected to join Breedon early next year. The company sad the required regulatory announcement will be made at that time.

Ward has over 30 years’ experience in the aggregates and construction industries in the UK, US and Middle East and held a variety of roles with ARC/Hanson before joining AI in 1995.

At 1054 BST, Breedon shares were up 0.3% at 51.30p.
