British Airways CEO to overhaul key management roles

British Airways chief executive Sean Doyle plans to overhaul the airline's key management roles after a string of IT failures and flight cancellations.
According to the Financial Times, Doyle has tapped new executives to head up the flagship carrier's operations, technology, and customer services units.
Doyle's move comes as British Airways continues to struggle with Covid-19-related staff shortages that have forced the firm to scrap roughly 10% of its flight schedules, or roughly 8,000 round trips, between March and October.
Although BA's rivals, most notably easyJet, have also battled shortages, the airline has also faced issues stemming from a string of IT meltdowns and a multitude of complaints from passengers regarding its customer service.
As of 1540 BST, shares in British Airways parent company IAG were down 2.03% at 124.86p.
