Bunzl completes French acquisitions on top of Australia, Brazil additions

International distribution and outsourcing group, Bunzl confirmed the acquisitions of Hedia, Comptoir de Bretagne and Générale Collectivités, as announced in July.
The acquisition was completed following clearance of the transaction by the French Competition Authority.
The company had also recently acquired Interpath in Australia, and entered an agreement to acquire Talge in Brazil, completion of which was A$22m.
Interpath, which made revenues of A$22m in the year ended June 2017, will enhance the existing healthcare business in Australia and extends the group's product offering into the pathology, medical research and life science markets there.
Talge, which generated R$83m in calendar 2016, will expand operations into the foodservice sector in Brazil.
Commenting on the purchase, Frank van Zanten, Chief Executive of Bunzl, expressed delight with the completion of the purchase of Hedis, Comptoir de Bretagne and Générale Collectivités.
