Management services provider Capita has appointed John Cresswell as independent non-executive director.

Cresswell, who will step into his new role on 1 December, has most recently served as chief executive of British telecoms group Arqiva for four and half years and has held an executive role on the board of ITV in the past.

“John brings a wealth of experience gained from his breadth of roles across strategy, business development and policy in the private sector as well as FTSE 100 board experience,” said group chief executive Andy Parker.

“His skills and experience, particularly in the digital and technology space, will add further depth and strength to the Capita board.”
