Central Bank of Ireland opposes Playtech's Ava Trade takeover

Playtech have received a letter from the Central Bank of Ireland saying they oppose the proposed takeover of Ava Trade.

The FTSE 250 company announced on Monday that it is seeking clarification and will engage with them on the issues raised.

The company believes it can address the issues to the central bank’s satisfaction.

Playtech has already received approval from the Financial Services Commission in the British Virgin Islands for the acquisition.
