CMA ends probe into Mitie Home Office contracts
Mitie said on Tuesday that the Competition and Markets Authority has closed its investigation into alleged anti-competitive behaviour regarding contracts at Heathrow and an immigration removal centre.
The CMA announced last March that it had launched an investigation into the participation by Mitie, Mitie Care and Customer Limited and PAE, in the ongoing procurement processes run by the Home Office for contracts to supply certain services at Heathrow and Derwentside Immigration Removal Centres in the UK.
In December, the watchdog said it had provisionally decided to close the probe on the basis that there were no grounds for action.
"Today the CMA has announced that it has reached a final decision to close the investigation on the basis that there are no grounds for action," Mitie said in a brief statement.
