Coats Group inks settlement deals with pensions trustees

Shares in industrial thread maker Coats Group are mildly ahead after it signed binding settlement agreements with the trustees of the UK Coats Pension Plan and Brunel Holdings Pension Scheme.

It said it had received written assurances from the UK Pensions Regulator that, on completion of the settlement, its regulatory action would cease in relation to these two schemes.

Coats said that, following a series of company-determined corporate steps, completion would occur by early March 2017.

At 10:27 GMT, shares in Coats were up 0.44% to 57.75p each.
