Technology company Cohort announced on Friday that its subsidiary Marlborough Communications (MCL) has been awarded three new contracts with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), with a combined value of about £3.75m.

The AIM-traded firm said the contracts were further orders for hearing protection, including the tactical hearing protection system for the dismounted close combat user.

All orders would be deliverable in the 2021-2022 financial period.

“These contract wins further demonstrate the important role MCL plays in protecting UK military personnel through delivering high-quality hearing protection systems to the MoD,” said chief executive officer Andy Thomis.

“Together with other recent contract wins across the group, these contracts further strengthen our order book and enhance the visibility of our revenues in this financial year.”

At 1129 BST, shares in Cohort were up 1.19% at 594p.
