Computacenter said on Friday that it expects to see growth in profitability in 2023 as demand remains strong.

The company said in an update that the strong revenue growth seen in 2022 continued in the first quarter to the end of March 2023.

In Europe, this was based broadly across geographies and industry sectors. In North America, performance was underpinned by demand from two customers.

"The seasonal trends within our business returned to normal in 2022 and we expect these to continue through 2023," it said.

"As such, while much remains to be done, we continue to believe that 2023 will be another year of progress with growth in profitability expected in both the first half of 2023 as well as for the year as a whole."

Computacenter said customers’ demand remains strong despite economic headwinds.

"While this can never be guaranteed to continue at the current pace, the requirements on IT systems to remain current, supported, and secure are necessities that no business can afford to ignore."
