ConvaTec surges as Sweden's EQT said to mull bid

Shares in Convatec surged on Tuesday following a report that a number of parties were interested in buying out the London-listed medical equipment maker.

According to Swedish business daily Dagens Industri, Swedish private equity group EQT is considering a possible bid for the company.

At 0900 GMT ConvaTec shares were up 8.6% at 145.40p.
