Dixons Carphone appoints Graham Stapleton as CEO of software division

Dixons Carphone has appointed Graham Stapleton as chief executive officer of its software division, honeyBee, with immediate effect.

Graham will leave his role as a director of the company and group deputy chief executive Andrew Harrison will assume direct responsibility for the Connected World Services division.

HoneyBee is a growing player in the specialist sales software market, helping large global clients to deliver multi-channel digital experiences to their customers.

Dixons said "it will benefit enormously from the additional focus from one of the most senior entrepreneurial leaders in the group as it executes against its plan to build an increasingly valuable and independent business".

At 1042 BST, the shares were up 0.6% to 328.90p.
