Electrocomponents appoints Sally Adams as acting finance director

Electrocomponents has appointed Sally Adams as acting group finance director with immediate effect as Simon Boddie steps down from the role.

Adams has been with the company since 1996 and was global head of strategic planning and performance before becoming group financial controller in 2013. Prior to that, she spent four years as head of UK Finance and has held roles in the US and Asia Pacific.

The company said its search for a permanent finance director continues and a further update will be provided once the process has been concluded.

Boddie’s resignation following ten years in the role was announced in May.

At 1525 BST, shares were up 3% at 177.90p.
