Energean hires 30-year veteran as new COO

Energean Oil & Gas has appointed 30-year oil and gas industry veteran Iman Hill as its new chief operating officer.

Hill, who began her career as a petroleum engineer with more than a decade at BP, before following this with long stints at Shell and BG Group. She has most recently been technical director for UAE-based Dana Gas, responsible for managing global operations.

The FTSE 250-listed oil and gas producer, which has operations offshore Israel and Greece, said highlighted her experience around the world, with extensive expertise in the technical and commercial aspects of the petroleum business, in particular development and production projects.

Mathios Rigas, chief executive of Energean, said: "Iman is a highly experienced oil and gas professional with a proven track record and we are delighted to welcome her to the team. She brings a wealth of operational and technical expertise and we look forward to working closely with Iman across all of our global operations as we continue to grow production, profitability and deliver shareholder value."
