Essentra divests Bristol consumer packaging site to Broomco

Packaging and filter products producer Essentra has divested its consumer packaging site in Bristol to Broomco, an affiliate of Euro Packaging, for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is expected to be immediately earnings accretive, although the net proceeds are not expected to have a material impact on the company's net debt position.

The Bristol facility manufactures printed paper bags and associated packaging solutions for the bakery and foodservice end markets.

At 1045 BST, the shares were down 0.2% to 572.50p.
