Ferrexpo issued an update on Wednesday afternoon, in response to press reports over alleged corruption involving the head or judges of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

The FTSE 250 company also noted media commentary surrounding Kostyantyn Zhevago, who resigned as a director of Ferrexpo in December.

“The company is not aware of any allegations having been made against the company, any members of its group or any employees of the group,” the board said in its short statement.

“Ferrexpo takes this opportunity to confirm that it operates to the highest standards of corporate governance and has in place strict policies around anti-bribery and corruption.

“Ferrexpo will continue to monitor the situation and update the market as appropriate.”

At the close on Wednesday, shares in Ferrexpo were down 3.62% at 101.1p.
