Galliford Try wins contract with Network Rail

Housebuilding and construction group Galliford Try has been appointed to do building enhancements and property improvements across three of Network Rail Infrastructure Project's control period five (CP5) frameworks, which are valued at up to £250m over the next five years.

The group's recently acquired Miller Construction business was awarded the appointments, under which it will deliver a range of building projects across both the Central Region East Midlands route and the London Northwest-North route.

It has also been appointed to carry out property improvements as part of the SNE region renewals collaborative delivery programme on the London Northeast route between London Kings Cross and Berwick-upon-Tweed.

The agreements, which took effect in August, will be delivered as part of CP5, which runs from 2014 to 2019, and have the option of being extended to the end of control period six in 2024.
