Galliford Try secures £40m contract in Northampton

Housebuilding group Galliford Try has secured a £40m contract to build a new headquarters for Northamptonshire County Council.

The project, designed by architects BDP, will see 2,000 local authority staff to move into a 189,400 square feet four-storey office.

“We are delighted to have been appointed to such a significant project for Northamptonshire County Council,” said group executive chairman Greg Fitzgerald.

“Our presence within the East Midlands region continues to grow and we look forward to delivering high quality facilities for the Council’s staff and the local people accessing their services.”

Galliford shares were up 0.52% to 1,358.00p at 14:27 on Thursday.
