Galliford Try secures major highways contract
Construction group Galliford Try has secured a place on a £1bn framework to build and maintain roads and other civil works projects across the Midlands.
Galliford said its highways business has been appointed to the new Midlands Highways Alliance Plus (MHA+) Medium Schemes Framework 4.
The four-year framework has the potential to be extended for a further four years, and covers 35 local authorities stretching from Oxfordshire to Cumbria. Under the framework, Galliford will deliver a range of highway, civil and municipal engineering works, including road improvement and maintenance.
Bill Hocking, chief executive, said: "The framework is a key part of our strategy for the highways business going forward.
"We have a strong track record of delivering fruitful, collaborative partnerships with local authorities, and we looking forward to working with the MHA+ and its client authorities."
