Games Workshop YTD dividends hit £2.35 per share

Miniature wargames manufacturer Games Workshop declared a dividend of 70.0p per share on Thursday, in line with its policy of distributing "truly surplus cash".

Games Workshop declared the dividend as it reported trading over the three months ended 28 February had been in line with expectations.

Including this dividend, the FTSE 250-listed firm stated total dividends declared year-to-date amounted to £2.35 per share, up from £1.85 a year earlier.

Games Workshop said its dividend will be paid on 13 May for shareholders on the register on 1 April, with an ex-dividend date of 31 March.

As of 0830 GMT, Games Workshop shares were up 6.09% at 7,553.32p.
