Gulf Keystone names YouGov co-founder as chief strategy officer

Nadhim Zahawi has been appointed as chief strategy officer of Gulf Keystone Petroleum, the oil and gas explorer said on Monday.

The London-listed company said Zahawi, who co-founded research firm YouGov, will be responsible for the evaluation of strategic options for the company and will report to chief executive Jón Ferrier.

“Nadhim brings a range of additional and critical skills to the company,” said Ferrier.

“I firmly believe that the breadth and depth of his regional knowledge will prove invaluable.”

Gulf Keystone shares were down 3.26% to 22.25p at 1115 BST on Monday.
