Helios Underwriting appoints Arthur Manners as FD

Helios Underwriting (HUW) has appointed Arthur Manners as finance director with immediate effect.

In a statement on Monday, the AIM-listed company said the role will be part-time and Manners is also the finance director and compliance officer for insurance consultancy Total Risk Solutions, non-executive director of Gemini Insurance Brokers (Hong Kong) and chairman of the trustees of Beazley Furlonge Pension Scheme.

Manners has over 20 years' experience in the insurance industry and has, since June 2015, been acting as a consultant to HUW.

Prior to holding these positions, Manners was on the senior management team (including acting as finance director and group company secretary) at London Stock Exchange listed insurer Beazley Group.

Sir Michael Oliver, non-executive chairman of HUW, said, “We are delighted to welcome Arthur to the HUW Board; he has been working with us since June last year and, with his extensive financial and insurance experience, he has been making a valuable contribution to the Company as our business continues to grow."
