Hipgnosis announces interim dividend

Hipgnosis Songs Fund has announced an interim dividend of 1.3125p per share for the first quarter of the financial year.

The song catalogue investor said the payout for the three months to the end of June would be paid on 31 August to shareholders on the register on 30 July. The ex-dividend date is 29 July.

Hipgnosis buys song rights as investments. The company owns 138 catalogues worth about $2bn including songs by Fleetwood Mac, Blondie and Barry Manilow.
