Hipgnosis buys Motley Crue founder Nikki Sixx's catalogue

Hipgnosis Songs Fund said it had bought the music catalogue of Mötley Crüe founder Nikki Sixx for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is for 100% of Sixx's writer's share of performance royalty income and writer's Sound Exchange for the 305 song catalogue.

With Mötley Crüe, bass-player Sixx has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide as well as achieving seven platinum or multi-platinum certifications, nine top-10 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, 22 top-40 mainstream rock hits, and six top-20 singles.
