IG Group appoints Mark Ward as interim CFO

Broker IG Group has appointed Mark Ward as interim chief financial officer.

Ward is a senior partner at accounting firm Deloitte and for the last three years has led the company’s investment management and wealth sector.

He is being seconded by Deloitte to IG from 25 January, while the board continues the search for a permanent CFO.

IG expects Ward, who will report to chief executive officer Peter Hetherington, to remain in his role until a permanent CFO is in place.

At 0920 GMT, IG shares were up 0.4% to 757p.
