IMI promotes Hu to MD of critical engineering division

British engineer IMI named Jackie Hu as managing director of its critical engineering division on Thursday.

Hu, currently the president of IMI Critical Engineering Asia Pacific, will relocate to the group's UK headquarters in Birmingham from Singapore and report directly to chief executive Roy Twite.

Twite said: "Jackie joined IMI in 2008 and has been instrumental in the success of IMI Critical Engineering in the Asia Pacific region.

"He has deep knowledge and experience across our end markets and a proven track record of driving growth and business development. We're excited about him joining our executive team."

Jim Lim, who was previously managing director of IMI Critical Engineering China, will succeed Jackie as president of IMI Critical Engineering Asia Pacific.

As of 0820 GMT, IMI shares were down 1.49% at 993p.
