ITV adds Manz to strengthen board's financial brainpower

ITV has strengthened its board with the appointment of Diageo's Anna Manz as a non-executive director.

Manz, currently group strategy director at the drinks group she joined in 2009, will be joining the board from 1 February.

She has previously held roles of group treasurer and finance director of the Asia Pacific and Irish businesses.

ITV chairman Archie Norman said: "Anna has an impressive track record at Diageo and brings consumer, financial and strategic experience to ITV. We are delighted she is joining the board."

Shares in ITV were lower on Thursday, along with the rest of the FTSE, down 2.1% at 263.2p at 0918 GMT.
