John Laing sells stake in Welsh wind farm for £43m

John Laing Group said it had sold its 100% investment in Llynfi Wind Farm in Wales to John Laing Environmental Assets Group for £43m before costs.

The company said group realisations for 2017 were now at £299m, adding that it expected no more for the year.

Chief executive Olivier Brousse said Laing continued to take advantage of strong demand for operating assets in order to fund its pipeline of “attractive investment opportunities”.

“As re-iterated in our pre-close update last week, our special dividend is based on realisations, and these are well ahead of the guidance of approximately £200m we gave earlier in the year."
