Just Eat Takeaway.com has struck a Europe-wide partnership deal with Turkey’s Getir, the grocery delivery firm.

The Amsterdam-based, London-listed firm said on Thursday that Getir’s entire product portfolio would be integrated into Just Eat’s marketplace, to be delivered by Getir’s couriers.

The partnership will launch in Germany next week, with around 2,000 items made available, before being rolled out to the UK, Spain, Italy and France before the end of the year.

Financial details of the deal were not released.

Turancan Salur, Getir regional manager, said the partnership would allow Getir to "benefit from accessing the large consumer base and continue to grow across Europe". Getir, which was founded in 2015 and has operations in 81 Turkish cities, launched in the US, UK, Germany and a number of other European countries last year.

Andrew Kenny, interim chief operating officer at Just Eat, said the company was committed to expanding its grocery offering.

As at 1015 GMT, Just Eat’s shares were largely flat at 1,897.2p.
