Aston Martin Lagonda shares rallied on Tuesday after Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll increased his stake in the luxury car maker.
Stroll lifted his stake in AML to 23.3% from 19.0% on Monday.
According to The Telegraph, Stroll’s investment vehicle - Yew Tree - led a £30m investment in the shares. Other investors include Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund with 16.7% and Chinese car maker Geely with 7.6%.
The move comes after Geely failed over the summer to take control of AML by offering a huge capital injection.
AML shares closed up 5% at 140.65p.
