London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) announced on Monday it has purchased XTF, a provider of US exchange traded funds (ETF) data, analytics and ratings.

The deal, for which the terms of the transaction were not disclosed, will see XTF integrated into LSEG’s Information Services Division, which includes FTSE Russell.

The newly acquired company was founded in 2008, XTF delivers a comprehensive historical database of ETF information covering the US, Canada and Japanese markets.

LSEG Group Director of Information Services Mark Makepeace said the acquisition adds another element to the group’s leading offering in the ETF space.

“The rapid rise of the global ETF market is prompting demand from institutional and retail investors and their intermediaries for access to high quality global analytic tools and XTF offers a complementary product suite to sit alongside the group’s global benchmarks and ETF listing venues.”
