Lululemon lifts estimates after strong Christmas sales

Lululemon Athletica on Monday raised fourth quarter sales and profit forecasts on strong sales for the Canadian apparel maker during the Christmas period.

The maker of yoga pants now expects fourth-quarter revenue of $3.170bn - $3.190bn, compared with a previous forecast of $3.135bn - $3.170bn.

Earnings per share (EPS) are forecast at $4.96 - $5, compared with the prior forecast of $4.85 - $4.93.

"Our sales trend remains balanced across channels, categories and geographies, enabling us to raise our guidance," chief financial officer FO Meghan Frank said in a statement.
