Mason to leave CFO role at Halfords at the end of the month

Halfords updated the market on the departure of its chief financial officer Jonny Mason on Thursday, reporting that his leaving date has now been agreed as 31 July.

The FTSE 250 retailer initially announced Mason’s stepping down from the role on 27 March.

It said he would remain in the business and as a board director until that date.

“The search for a successor to Jonny is ongoing and until that person is in the business the CFO responsibilities will be shared amongst the senior, experienced finance team,” the Halfords board said in its statement.
