Centrica’s non-executive director Mike Linn will not be standing for re-election at the company’s forthcoming Annual General Meeting.

In a statement to the London Stock Exchange on Friday, the company said Linn will leave the board on 18 April due to his increasing commitments in the United States.

Steve Pusey will replace Mike Linn as chairman of Centrica’s Safety, Health, Environment, Security and Ethics Committee (SHESEC).

Rick Haythornthwaite, chairman of Centrica, said, “Mike Linn has served on the board for three years and we are indebted for his insight and contribution over that period. We understand his decision to stand down. A search for a new non-executive director has commenced.”

At 1038 BST, Centrica shares were down 0.61% or 1.40p to 226.30p.
