Zoopla Property Group has announced chief financial officer Stephen Morana intends to leave the FTSE 250 company.

In a statement on Thursday, the company said a succession plan is “well advanced” and it will announce his replacement in due course.

He will continue in the role until his successor joins to ensure a smooth transition.

Founder and chief executive Alex Chesterman said Morana has played an important role as part of the company’s leadership team and has shown huge personal commitment.

“He helped to prepare the Company for its life as a public company, culminating in our successful IPO in 2014.

“He has been an outstanding CFO and whilst we will be sad to see him move on, we understand his desire to pursue new opportunities and wish him every success in his future endeavours."

Morana said he is sorry to be leaving but feels proud to be leaving the company in good health and with a strong growth strategy.
