Marks & Spencer chief Marc Bolland is reportedly planning to stay with the company at least a further two years.

The retail boss is believed to have told the board that he is finally beginning to see the fruits of his labour and wants to remain on board to see the results of his hard work.

It would be too soon to leave now, sources told the Sunday Telegraph, because there was not yet enough evidence to show the high street stalwart was firmly back on track.

John Dixon, the man who many presumed would one day be the one to take up the reigns from Bolland, surprised with his resignation earlier this year.

Marks & Spencer is due to publish its latest results in two week's time.
