Mulberry appoints Andrea Baldo as new CEO

Mulberry said on Tuesday that it has appointed Andrea Baldo as its new chief executive officer, replacing Thierry Andretta who is stepping down with immediate effect.
The luxury handbag maker said Baldo has over 20 years' experience leading brands in the fashion industry.
In his most recent position as CEO and executive director of Ganni, he drove the international growth of the business "through a focus on retail network development, product innovation, and a sharpening of the brand identity to increase customer engagement," Mulberry said.
Prior to this, Baldo spent time at fashion brands Coccinelle (2016-2018) and Marni Group (2013-2016). In both positions, he "redefined the strategic priorities for the businesses, ultimately leading to improved sales and profitability performance".
He has also held leadership positions at Diesel for over ten years including as chief operating officer of the US business.
Baldo will join the board as CEO on 1 September.
